The US State Department has an established program of providing up to 50,000 persons from "under-represented countries" with the ability to apply directly for Permanent Residence. This program is in the form of a lottery, with entries received during a specified period, using a particular format. The basic requirements are being born in a qualifying country, being married to one born in the country or in some cases, being born of parents of a qualifying county. There is also a minimum educational requirement of a high school education or equivalent work.

The Current filing period began 10/3/2011 and ended 11/5/2011.

The lottery is held electronically sometime in the spring and the results can genrally be checked on-line beginning in the month of May, the following calendar year. Each applicant and his/her spouse and dependents must include a picture with the application.

In the previous years, a considerable percentage of applications were rejected for not following each of the rules. BGAI created a computer based application for making the forms, mailing envelopes and information entry. In the most recent lottery, the actual application was electronic. We adapted our tools to assure the proper and complete entry for all of our clients. We contact you personally to verify the information, explain the next steps and be sure that you can furnish an appropriate photograph needed for the entry. We will scan photos, touch-up and or scale electronic files. We also add your email address to a mailing list to provide you with reminders and further information. Although the entry is now electronic, our experience shows that there is confusion and frustration when using it. We have trained staff to do the entry step for you.
